The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (Rock en Seine)

Yes, this really is the name of the band... And believe it or not, it was a really nice concert! I didn't exactly know what to expect, I only knew a couple of songs from them. But it definitely was a very pleasant surprise. Formed by Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, the band delivers a sort of dreamy pop-folk, quite reminiscent of different times. Multi-instrumentalists, the two main musicians show a rather contagious energy on stage. You also have to acknowledge here the power of Sean Lennon's lovely accent when he speaks French -very well, by the way!

St. Paul and The Broken Bones (Rock en Seine)

Turns out it is harder than I had expected for me to get back on track! Never mind. We all have a different pace, I guess.  But I will not let this somehow chaotic year come to an end without at least trying to advance on the photos of Rock en Seine! Yes, it was last August. So what? At least that's a good opportunity to remember nice memories (aaah... the season of festivals ) and maybe those of you who are not huge fans of Christmas and all that goes with it will rejoice with me while seeing the photos of the excellent concert St. Paul and The Broken Bones gave in opening of the second day at Rock en Seine. :-)

The Hives (Rock en Seine)

After appearing last year at Solidays , it was Rock en Seine's turn this year to welcome (again) the self-proclaimed "best band in the world". Beyond any doubts, it is a highly enjoyable experience to see The Hives live: their efficient rock, their charismatic energy and their incorrigible sense of humour inevitably make a lot of other bands look seriously dull on stage!
